Volunteers Needed

- The Chamber is in need of a young, energetic, enthusiastic, volunteer, captain to head up the French fry committee – it is our main fundraiser.

- The Chamber also needs more members to get out and attend meetings and take on projects – in the past the Chamber and its crew of energetic young people held community days and raised money to build the community hall,  men and women volunteered to prepare the ground work for the Centennial Arena, hauled arena materials off railway box cars to the building site, hauled in trap rock as a foundation for the artificial ice,  built the race track for horse races and so much more…………we need those energetic young people of today who really care for their community to come forward and take the lead.

Bruce Mines & District Historical Society - Our history is closely linked to our surrounding municipalities and many people do not realize or appreciate the extent of what has taken place in the past along the North Shore, inland and St. Joseph Island.
